Scent Profile & Olfactory Characteristics
Sandenol 803 opens with a soft, milky-woody sandalwood character that is smooth rather than sharp — creamy, slightly balsamic, with a clean dry-down and excellent tenacity on skin and fabric. Compared with natural sandalwood oil it is more linear and consistent, which makes it easy to dose predictably in compounding. It performs well as a base-note fixative: it slows the evaporation of lighter top notes and lends roundness and warmth to floral, oriental, fougère and woody accords. It blends especially well with musks, patchouli, cedarwood, rose and jasmine materials.
